I particularly enjoy that it’s a ‘40s-’50s style speaker-in-radio integrated unit.
Tells you Gary had fond memories of sitting in, perhaps, a grandparent’s car and wondering just what was behind that little grille

When I was little (like 2 or 3) my dad had a jukebox in the basement. He kept a jar of quarters nearby so it could be used. One day we were getting ready to go somewhere and I was out in the car, and he and my mom had to run back into the house for something. I was bored and wanted music, so I took some change from the ash tray and stuck it in the slot on the car radio. I mean, that’s how it works, right?
In retrospect I think my parents should have been really proud of me for synthesizing information at such an early age and nurtured my intellectual gifts . Instead I think I got my backside nurtured after dad got the bill from the radio repair shop to fish the change out of his cassette deck.

Perhaps. Or the little man in the cabinet behind the basket where you throw in the toll, counting the change.
